This was the first version of the new, multi-colour, enamel inlay, Victoria Police Force, cap badge; which was issued to replace the Commissioned Officer’s, “VP” style, bullion cap badges. This first “gold” and enamel version was introduced by the then Chief Commissioner of Police Porter.
